Hey There!, I’m Amanda…

I am a bilingual, Latinx, licensed clinical social worker in the state of New York and New Jersey. I have experience working with adults and children diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety and depression. I have experience in implementing various interventions to help individuals reduce their negative thoughts or hyperactivity.

Some of the interventions I use are Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, Behavioral therapy, Positive Psychology and more. These interventions are not a one size fits all, therefore I provide a person-centered approach that is specific to you needs and capabilities. So, are you ready to take this journey in becoming your best self, don’t worry I’ll be right beside you. Request a consultation today!

my values

  • trust

Creating a space where you feel comfortable sharing how you feel is so important. Building trust with you is valuable to your care and progress in therapy.

  • Curiosity

I value your story and authenticity in our sessions together. Learning about who you are, listening to the problems you are facing is a way to ensure you and I work on ways to get results in therapy.

  • Safety

Ensuring you with a safe space to discuss and talk about how your are feeling create a place where you can share and not be judged for your problems.

My Approach

You will have the liberty to express yourself, without judgement or made to feel not normal. You will be accepted, supported, heard and validated so that you can make the changes necessary to become the best version of yourself.

My process in working with individuals and families follows the person-centered approach. I begin the session by identifying your current concerns and your expectations of therapy. Next, we discuss important early life experiences and current situations that can provide insight into the problem you are experiencing. Then, we will work together to identify the behaviors and uncover ways to develop customized techniques to address these behaviors and your needs. I enjoy working with all people from various walks of life; however, I mainly specialize in working with clients from late childhood to middle adulthood.

My hope is to provide high quality service to children and adults with diverse backgrounds and inspire them.
